Today's Frivolous Friday is a bit different because of the holiday! Dearest Carl and I have the whole weekend for house projects and together time and we're having my family over Monday for burgers and games. The house is coming together bit by bit so I'm excited to show it off again! Here are just a few things my weekend will include.
1. Homemade Vanilla Wafers - Poor Carl has had an empty cookie jar for almost a month and it's high time I fix that! I've made these cookies before and I'm pretty sure I ate as many as he did last time. They're perfect! Very simple, not too sweet and you make them small, just like vanilla wafers. Yay for cookies!
2. Striped Maxi Dress - Okay so I couldn't find the exact dress but this one's super close. I bought it about a month ago for $12 at Walmart and it's my absolute favorite dress now! I'm sure I'll probably wear it every weekend from now till the Fall.
3. Monster by Frank Peretti - I just finished Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers this past week (which I HIGHLY recommend!) and jumped right into Monster. Both are new books from HPB which I bought for a dollar each (can you say major steal??) and after finishing the western romance, this Bigfoot suspense is like culture shock. But so far I'm enthralled!
Did I mention that I will probably also drink lots of iced coffee this weekend? Just because I can. Don't judge.
