10 Things

Pink has always been my favorite color. Now that so much of the decorating going around is blush pink, I'm one happy girl! Especially when it comes to front doors. I doubt I'll be able to convince Dearest Carl to let me paint ours pink, but that doesn't mean I can't swoon over other people's.

This is the gorgeous swimsuit I bought this year! This new suit and I have several swimming dates on our summer calendar and I'm quite excited to show it off.

Believe it or not, Florence and The Machine isn't the only artist I listen to. I've enjoyed Cub Sport for a while and just recently discovered that they have more music available than I thought. It's invaded my summer playlists.

If you follow any girly blogs, you've probably noticed that everyone is raving about this sparkling water. Well I finally decided to try it myself. Is it worth the hype? My answer is absolutely!!! It's very affordable, comes in countless flavors and gives you the feeling of drinking something special without all the sweetness and calories. My fridge will have this in stock all summer long.

I'm still coming to grips with the fact that Downton is over. I keep stumbling around searching for some other lovely period piece to watch. In my search, I found this show. It's about the author of Sherlock Holmes and a mystery that I couldn't figure out before the end. Give it a try!

My heart beats for rattan nowadays. Chairs, swings, daybeds, I've been watching it popping up all over my Pinterest feed the last few months and I'm hopeful that I'll have a rattan chair of my own when this living room renovation is finished.

You know when you find that shower necessity that makes you want to linger a little longer in the morning? I bought Dr. Teal's Lavender Body Wash a few weeks ago and let me tell you, it's heavenly. It smells like the real lavender deal which is lots of bonus points from me.

If you read my Monday menus, you're probably familiar with this Pan Crisped Deviled Egg Salad. I seriously can't get over it! I'm pretty sure I've made it every other week since the warm weather hit and I've almost know it by heart. It's the perfect summer salad to pair with fish or grilled chicken.

Hello summertime read. This is my second time reading Redeeming Love and I'm flying through it. It's the kind of book that you want to carry in your purse so you always have it with you in the moments of waiting to checkout at the grocery or at the doctors office or the Starbucks drive through. I'm gonna have to find another summer read because this won't last through August.

I can't write a 10 things post and leave out my cat. He's been a part of our family for two years this month and I can't imagine life without him. Even though he's on his anti snuggle summer schedule, he's still adorable and will oblige me by laying on the kitchen floor while I cook meals.
