A Fall Dinner Party

All the delicious smells and flavors of Fall are one of my favorite aspects of the season. It makes me think that an Autumn dinner party would be the coziest thing ever. Just imagine a group of friends or family, sitting around a candlelit table eating the fruits of the Autumn season. It sounds so perfect. So I've come up with a menu for the dinner party of my dreams. All five courses utilize Fall flavors and cozy recipes to make it the best dinner party ever.

For your hors d'oeuvres, you'll definitely want to have a cheese plate ready. You can easily make pears, grapes, figs and other Fall fruits the sweet aspect while your nuts and cheese can vary depending on your taste. It's the perfect thing to snack on while you're waiting for everyone to arrive. (via Honestly YUM)

Once everyone is seated at the table, start things off with this creamy sweet potato soup. It warm you up to the bones and maybe you'll unearth some other good soup recipes with your table talk. (via Half Baked Harvest)

Time for a salad. But after that rich soup, you'll want to serve something light and fresh. This apple based salad is adorable served in the apple peel. Carry them out on a tray and you'll make Instagram. (via Yummy Mummy Kitchen)

The main course is always the main event at a dinner party. Instead of going fancy, I vote you stick with the simple and classic. Cook a whole chicken in your crock pot with potatoes and carrots and it will look like you slaved over it when you bring it out on a platter. (via Foodie Crush)

No dinner party is complete without dessert. Instead of slicing up one big apple pie, make personal pies for each guest. A dollop of ice cream on top and everyone will ooh and ahh over your dessert making skills. (via Sugar et al)

Bonus! To keep guests around when you've finished eating, serve up a Fall flavored drink. This Apple Cider Moscow Mule sounds delicious and can easily be made into a mocktail if you prefer. (via Hot Beauty Health)

It really is too bad I don't have a dining room table right now or I would be putting this dinner party plan into action. Oh well. I guess I'll have to wait until Christmas.
